Authority Guide
Non-toxic.
Good question.
Now let's get specific.
"Non-toxic" is used as a marketing label in carpet cleaning. But toxicity depends on the actual substance, the concentration, the route of exposure, and the conditions of use. A more useful question is: what product, applied how, and what is left behind?
What Actually Matters
Six factors that matter more than a label.
Product Identity
What specific cleaning product is being used? A product name with documented specifications is more useful than a label.
Dose & Concentration
How concentrated is the solution? How much is applied? Concentration affects both performance and what remains after cleaning.
Route of Exposure
How might someone come into contact with the product — skin contact with the carpet, inhalation during application, ingestion risk for children or pets.
Fibre Suitability
Is the product appropriate for the carpet fibre? Different fibres interact differently with cleaning chemistry.
Drying & Re-Entry
What are the manufacturer directions for drying and re-entry? How long until the carpet is back in normal use?
Certifications
Does the product carry independent certifications like CRI Seal of Approval or WoolSafe? These test for performance and residue.
The SpeedyDry Approach
Product choice matters.
SpeedyDry does not make sweeping toxicology claims. We use CRI Seal of Approval certified solutions, apply them in a controlled process, and design the cleaning to leave minimal to no residue behind.
The most useful question is not "is it non-toxic?" but "what is being used, how is it applied, and what is left in my carpet when cleaning is finished?"
