Why Carpet Gets Sticky After Cleaning | SpeedyDry

WHY

STICKY?

The Direct Answer

Carpet gets sticky after cleaning because detergent residue was not fully extracted from the fibre. The sticky film is the cleaning chemistry left behind. It attracts soil, causes rapid resoiling, and makes the carpet feel different. SpeedyDry prevents this with a zero-residue process.

RESIDUE.

THAT’S WHY.

How It Happens

When cleaning solution is applied, it dissolves soil. If the solution is not fully extracted — either because too much was used, the chemistry is wrong for the fibre, or extraction was incomplete — the remaining solution dries and leaves a sticky film.

The Fix

ZERO

SpeedyDry uses CRI SOA certified solutions, controlled moisture (the right amount, not too much), and thorough extraction. We remove the solution along with the soil. No sticky film. $279.30 minimum plus GST.
